“WARM CITY ORDOS” - Tourism Promotion Event In Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

The Ordos Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism recently held the “Warm City Ordos” tourism promotion event in Kuala Lumpur, attracting active participation from local tourism industry players and business leaders. The event served as a platform to explore opportunities for deepening tourism cooperation between the two destinations.

During the event, the Deputy President of the Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association - Cynthia Tan, highlighted that since the signing of the Malaysia-China Tourism Cooperation Memorandum in 2016, bilateral tourism exchanges have remained stable. Although the pandemic temporarily disrupted travel, the market is now gradually recovering, presenting significant cooperation potential. She emphasized that Ordos, as a key tourism destination in Inner Mongolia, boasts rich natural landscapes and a unique cultural heritage, making it an appealing destination for Malaysian travelers. She expressed hope that in the future, chartered direct flights, reciprocal tourist exchanges, and themed tourism programs could be introduced. She also encouraged local travel agencies to strengthen ties with Ordos industry players to develop tourism products tailored to the Malaysian market, creating new business opportunities together.

Director of the Ordos Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism - Li Yun, announced at the event that to further facilitate Malaysian tourists, Ordos plans to launch direct flights in 2025 and introduce various inbound tourism incentive policies to attract more visitors.

This promotional event not only deepened exchanges between the Malaysian and Chinese tourism industries but also laid a solid foundation for future collaborations. Looking ahead, both sides will work together to explore innovative cooperation models and jointly promote the prosperity and development of the tourism industry.
